Law Clerk
in-ellie-fisher

Ellie Mae Fisher, a product of rural Santa Clara County, California, found her academic home at Texas Tech University’s Davis College of Agriculture, where she pursued her undergraduate degree. Graduating in May 2023, Ellie embarked on her next scholarly pursuit: a Juris Doctorate at Texas Tech School of Law, slated for completion in May 2026.

Throughout her academic journey, Ellie has been a beacon of leadership and activism, spearheading and supporting diverse coalitions and civil organizations both in Texas and her home state of California. Her notable achievements include establishing Texas Tech’s inaugural nationally-recognized chapter of the NAACP and contributing to the advocacy efforts of NextGen America. Notably, she served as the Vice President for Youth and College Division of the Texas NAACP State Conference until February 2024.

Driven by an unwavering commitment to social, civil, and restorative justice, Ellie passionately advocates for marginalized communities, challenging conventional spaces to embrace inclusivity and representation. Her approach is marked by strategic precision and unwavering determination, inspired by the poignant words of poet Audre Lorde: “Your silence will not protect you.”

In her pursuit of justice, Ellie embodies the spirit of resilience and empowerment, encapsulated by the rallying cry of her alma mater: “Wreck ’em!”
